So American Sniper is showing in Singapore tomorrow. Directed by Clint Eastwood, the movie has been getting a lot of buzz online… but maybe for some wrong reasons. While the reviews are generally favourable, movie-goers have been pointing out a particularly jarring prop for a pivotal scene. But don’t take our word for it, see for yourself.
Did you spot the the obviously fake plastic doll that they tried to pass off for a baby? The excuse given by scriptwriter Jason Hall was that the real baby came down with a fever on the day of the shoot while the back up choice did not show up on set. Clint Eastwood is notorious for shooting really quickly, so he might have just shoved that doll into Sienna Miller’s arms the second he heard that they couldn’t have a real baby and got the cameras rolling.
Oh and the budget for the movie? US$60 million.

Bradley Cooper got his third Oscar nomination for this movie, and it’s a well-deserved one too! How he managed to not burst into laughter halfway through this scene is beyond us.
